Swet Chandan

Swet Chandan is one of the oldest and most precious trees. Swet means is white. There is another Chandan, it is known as Raktan Chandan. English is called sandalwood. The wood has a sweet smell which makes it costly. The plant has a great fragrance.

Many products are made from this Swetha Chandan. These are powder, stick, oil, idol, and many other things.

Every Part of this tree is useful from Bark to Root (Mul).

Benefits

White sandalwood might help prevent the growth of fungus and bacteria. It might reduce spasms. But more information is needed. This Swetha Chandan works against many diseases. These are:

Uses

There are three part of the tree which has been used.  These are trank, root, and branches. every part is very useful. The oil comes from the heartwood art of the tree.

The oil from the wood and the wood are used as medicine. Don’t confuse white sandalwood with red sandalwood.

White sandalwood is used for treating the common cold, cough, bronchitis, fever, and sore mouth and throat. It is also used to treat urinary tract infections.
